Sinister yet beautiful, Dan Baldwin is a contemporary artist that focuses on the big issues from political to the religious. Mixing the abstract with the figurative, Baldwin’s artwork sits between reality and fantasy.
Dan Baldwin (b.1972)
Dan Baldwin is at the forefront of the Young British Artist movement. Coming from the same abrasive, two-fingered salute school of peers Banksy, Tracey Emin and The Chapman Brothers, over the last decade he has quietly built a reputation to match.
Dan Baldwin, born in Manchester, lives and works in Sussex. His subject matters are often described as hauntingly beautiful, engaging and beautiful. His colourful work was described as Psychological Landscape by BBC arts correspondence Maeve Doyle.
Dan Baldwin is an art investment favourite, and has an extremely passionate following. Celebrity collectors include Bernie Ecclestone, Sir Ronald Cohen, Jake Chapman and Jo Whiley among others. Influential artists Damien Hirst, Gilbert & George and Peter Blake also collect Baldwin’s work and credit him as a key influencer of his generation.
