Bigger Splash hails from Mexican artist, Paul Fuentes’ Travel Photography series, in which he whisks us away to enviable locations, bathed in sunshine. The inspiration behind the series is the notion of the endless summer of mid-century America.
This piece is inspired by David Hockney’s iconic painting, A Bigger Splash. It features a similar sun-drenched swimming pool, framed by the clean lines of Palm Springs’ unique style of architecture.
Each of Fuentes’ photographs is a multi-layer image, with elements separated and then brought together to create one cohesive, effortless work of art.
